先週より撮影が始まった、ショーン・エヴァンス＆ロジャー・アラム主演ITVドラマ『Endeavour/新米刑事モース～オックスフォード事件簿～』シリーズ2。

第1話(Film1)のタイトルが「Trove」で、メガホンを取るのはデンマークドラマ『Forbrydelsen/The Killing』のKristoffer Nyholm監督であることが、ITVより発表されました。

美人コンテストの優勝者が優勝を諦めて、1人の男が墜落死。DC E.モースは大学と街に隠された秘密を掘り出す。死体の数はどんどん増えていき…

といった粗筋でしょうか。

Endeavourは頭脳だけでなく体力的にもフル回転を求められるようです。(S1でも、高所恐怖症なのにコレッジの屋根に登ったり、ぶっ刺されたまま犯人追いかけたり、刑事って体力勝負だなぁ～と思うシーン多かったですね)

メガホンを取るKristoffer Nyholm監督は、デンマークで史上最高視聴率を叩き出し、イギリスでもBAFTA TV Awards最優秀国際シリーズ賞を受賞するほどの大ヒットとなったデンマークドラマ『Forbrydelsen/The Killing』を手掛けた監督です。澄み渡った青空を拝める期間が短くどんよりした空が多そうな北欧の空気と、これまた灰色の空になることが多い秋冬オックスフォードの空気がうまく合って、また素晴らしいエピソードとなるでしょうか。

1966年代の英国がどんな時代だったのかを簡単に把握した方がより理解が深まりそうなので、ちまちま予習したいと思います。自分が大切に想ってるもの－家族、友人、同僚(上司)－へ迫る脅威に立ち向かわねばならないEndeavourの、生意気＆悩む姿をまたたっぷり堪能できそうな期待。
